These are the basic things that a newbie questions when they start programming. But for most others, they don't know programming. Programming is a art in computing that offers you the ability to make the computer work as you wish. But if you wish to know more exact definition: Programming involves activities such as analysis, developing understanding, generating algorithms, verification of requirements of algorithms including their correctness and resources consumption, and implementation of algorithms in a target programming language.
